FIRST STOP ADVICE

Picture of the First Stop Advice Service

Overview
General information is held on a variety of organisations, groups and professional bodies, which can be accessed in order to support issues of concern, mainly but not exclusively, related to the independence and quality of life of older and disabled people.

General Information and Support
We can offer a great deal of support in terms of where to go for practical help, including detailed information regarding our services, problems with utility bills, available support groups, who to contact and how to access other agencies relevant to your needs.

Each enquiry is dealt with individually and any details recorded by Caring Hands Charity will remain confidential. Voluntary and statutory organisations in addition to the general public, are welcome to access this service. Independent evaluations confirm the information and support people have gained from this service is useful and has provided positive results. If we are unable to directly deal with your enquiry, then we will try our very best, to offer you particulars of other appropriate agencies.

At the very least this service aims to address your initial concerns and hopes to alleviate these by accessing our information sources and those of other bodies who may help you. Further information can be obtained by completing a General Enquiry Form using the links. We’d be happy to speak with you in person or on the telephone 0191 261 5234 on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday between 10.00am and 3.30pm.
