About Caring Hands

Caring Hands Charity was established in 1992. Our mission is to sustain the independence and quality of life of older and disabled people living in the East End of Newcastle, through the active support of local volunteers.

Our Services
We provide a wide range of services designed to help older and disabled people live independently and to improve their quality of life. You can find out more about these services by clicking on the links on the left.

Patron
Our patron is the Right Reverend Lord Bishop of Newcastle – Bishop Martin

Trustees, Staff and Volunteers
A team of volunteer Trustees meet each month to evaluate the work carried out, they consider future projects alongside existing services. Each Trustee has expertise in areas, which closely connect to the work of Caring Hands. Currently there are two employees, one full time Project Manager and one part time Handyperson. We hold a list of up to twenty volunteers at any one time.
