Lunch Club Support

Position: Lunch Club Support/assistant Volunteer


Venue: Christ Church Hall, Shieldfield, Newcastle upon Tyne

When: Every Tuesday, Service operates 10.30am – 3pm

This position would suit a friendly, outgoing person who enjoys working as part of a team.

It is important that applicants are reliable as this is key to this service running well.  Students are welcome to apply if they are able to commit to an agreed timetable.

The Role: General kitchen duties (no cooking)

• Serving meals and refreshments
• Clearing tables
• Washing and drying crockery and utensils (rota basis)
• Collect payments
• Escort on transport (occasional)
• Interaction with members
• We encourage you to offer support and companionship as and when time allows.

The above list is not comprehensive and other duties may be required. Training will be offered and a Team Leader is available during service times for additional support.

Previous lunch club (or similar) experience, would be an asset, but is not essential as training is provided.
