The Vaccination bus will be visiting Shieldfield on Monday 25 October between 10am and 5pm!Shield Street outside Pandon Court / Lort House No Appointment necessary just walk in Booster Vaccines The following people are eligible for a booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, this will provide additional protection from the virus as we enter Winter.• those living in residential care homes for older adults • all adults aged 50 or over• frontline health and social care workers • all those aged 16 - 49 years with underlying health conditions that put them at higher risk of becoming seriously ill from COVID-19• Adult carers• Adults living with someone who is immunosuppressed The Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation has advised that the booster jab should be offered no earlier than six months after the first course of vaccination.The NHS will contact you directly when it is your turn for a booster and invite you to a clinic that is at a time and place suitable for you. Some of our clinics are also offering walk-in Booster vaccine jabs - remember it must have been at least 182 days since your second dose and you must be part of the criteria listed above.
