The Welfare Benefits Advice service is free of charge and available to people who live in Ouseburn Ward and South Heaton Ward of Newcastle upon Tyne, but please ring our office for further clarification.
We provide help and advice on all Benefit Claims.
All advice is impartial and completely confidential.
Our expert can help you to claim benefits which you may be entitled to.
- Every Tuesday 10.00am-12.30pm – ”Drop In’ or Telephone Help and Advice’ service (no appointment needed). Our adviser will speak with you during 10 minute slots. You may have to wait or be asked to pop back at a specified time if several people are waiting.
- Every Wednesday 10.00am-3.00pm – appointments only.
We will complete all necessary application forms and can negotiate with relevant departments, any ongoing benefit problems, on your behalf.
A short examination of your benefits can be carried out to confirm you are receiving the correct amount of entitlement.
Our Welfare Benefits Advice worker may attend Welfare Benefits related tribunals. If we are able, we may provide representation at Social Security, Disability and Medical Appeal Tribunals and where appropriate the Social Security Commissioners.
We are registered with Advice UK and our advice worker attends training seminars to make him aware of any changes introduced in relation to the benefits system.
