Here at Caring Hands Charity we’re proud of the dedication from our valued volunteers, after all, we couldn’t provide most of our services without them!
We realise that your time is precious and we’ll work around your other interests so you don’t feel like we’re taking over all of your spare time.
What is a volunteer?
A volunteer with Caring Hands Charity is someone who is prepared to offer even a few hours a week, to support the services we provide. Someone who has a clean smart appearance, is a good communicator, trustworthy, friendly, caring, able to follow instructions and respectful of others.
How much time you commit to spending with us is really up to you. Anytime a volunteer can offer is always a help, you could offer to be available for holidays and illness cover and might only be contacted 3 times a year! We only require volunteers between 9.00am and 4.00pm Monday to Friday. But if you are only normally available outside these times we may still need your support.
Out of pocket expenses are offered, briefly these are travel expenses involved with the work.
What we expect from our volunteers
Your support allows our services to operate to high standards all year round. It would be helpful for you to read through the sample Volunteer Agreement as it offers details of the volunteers role and the charities role (this is binding in honour only).
How to join us
Read through our website, get yourself acquainted with our services and see if you would enjoy supporting any of them. If you would prefer to call in for a chat before completing the form it is advisable to ring first, so we can arrange a convenient time for someone to speak with you.
